The Botanist
The Botanist came to us six months before the launch of their debut serum line — a concentrated range of botanical actives built around a single hero ingredient: bakuchiol. They wanted a campaign that could compete in a market dominated by ten-times-larger budgets.
The challenge wasn't awareness. It was conviction. Buyers needed to believe in the ingredient story before they'd commit to the price point.
Raw material study — bakuchiol source plant, India
We built the campaign around the gap between plant and product — the intelligence required to close that distance. Rather than selling aspiration, we sold process. Imagery focused on raw materials, the hands involved in extraction, and the transformative quiet of the finished serum.
Copy was deliberate and spare. Each claim was supported, each sentence earned. The tone trusted the buyer to be curious rather than talking down to them with wellness language.
The launch campaign ran across owned channels and a modest paid social budget. The debut serum line sold out within ten days. Waitlist signups exceeded the initial production run by 40%.
The brand has since used the same visual and verbal framework for two subsequent product launches, extending the campaign system rather than starting fresh each time.
